The academic achievements of St Peter Claver College students during Semester 2, 2024 were celebrated at the College's Academic Honours Assembly.
On Wednesday 12 February 2025, 250+ awards were presented to Years 8-11 students for Academic Excellence and Academic Growth. These students all demonstrated an outstanding commitment to their studies in 2024.
High achieving 2024 Year 12 graduates were welcomed back to celebrate their success with the Claver Community.
- 2024 College Dux: Anatt Jogi (ATAR 99.25).
- 2024 Award for Academic Excellence (DUX Runner-Up): Oliver Rusterholz (ATAR 98.2).
- ATAR High Achievers: Nicole Bicol, Aaron Cashmere, Anatt Jogi, Ruby Melville, Oliver Rusterholz, Clarissa Smidt, Donnie Turnbull and Hayley Williams.
We also had two students achieve straight A's across their General and Applied subject choices. Congratulations to Lily Biddulph and Jewel Wilson.
In her Dux Address to the College Anatt shared some words of advice:
- Hard work pays off.
- Work together and be each other's biggest supporters.
- Ask questions, no matter how silly they may seem.
- Don't be afraid of failure – you'll either succeed or learn for next time.
- With hard work, faith and perseverance you can achieve great things.
Principal Bruce McPhee echoed Anatt's sentiments as part of his Principal's Address.
“It's inspiring to see how many students took to the stage to receive awards today. Awards for Academic Excellence, but also for Academic Growth and commitment to doing your best," he said.
“We are not only proud of your hard work and dedication, and that of the entire 2024 Year 12 cohort, but we are also proud of the role Claver played in the clear path and vision our graduates have for their future. They're heading into their post-high school chapter with confidence, purpose and direction, ready to pursue their dreams, talents and passions."
